Burst-Tel provides a simple and effective means of identifying when a bursting disc functions. It comprises a polyamide membrane onto which is bonded an insulated, electrically conductive path mounted between supporting rings.

Installed on the vent side of the bursting disc device, Burst-Tel is activated by fluid flow when the bursting disc functions, causing the conductive path to break and give an open-circuit signal. Following the disc burst, Burst-Tel is simply replaced along with the bursting disc.

Burst-Tel can be compatible with bursting disc devices from other manufacturers, whether manufactured from graphite or metal, and can be used with other relief devices. Retro-fitting is easily achieved as the nominal thickness of the Burst-Tel assembly is only 3mm(1/8”) for bursting discs up to 100mm(4”) and 10mm(3/8”) above 100mm (4”) nominal size, with Exfoliated graphite membrane. When installing a Burst-Tel it must not contact the dome of the disc. A Burst Tel must be connected to an intrinsically safe supply.

Supplied with a 2m cable.
