The new Opti-Gard™ SoLo is a unique, 1 piece solid metal, reverse acting bursting disc, specifically designed for low pressure applications, from 2 psig.

The innovative design combines an original geometric shape with a unique manufacturing process, offering a 95% operating to burst pressure ratio with a performance tolerance of 3 %. Tested to over 100,000 cycles, Opti-Gard™ SoLo offers the highest performance characteristics available for liquid, gas or vapour, making it the most technically advanced low pressure reverse bursting disc on the market.

Opti-Gard™ SoLo comes pre-fitted with Integral Flo-Tel ™, Elfab’s advanced and reliable non-invasive magnetic detection system. The disc fits all standard Elfab Opti-Gard and Hygienic Opti-Gard™ holders and is supplied in corrosion resistant Hastelloy as standard.

With the addition of SoLo, the Elfab Opti-Gard™ range now delivers the opportunity to rationalise stock holdings by up to 65%.

Opti Gard Solo Schematics

The holder is machined with Excess Flow Valve tapping and is configured to accept Elfab’s ATEX-approved Integral Flo-Tel burst detection switch as standard.

To ensure the correct performance of a bursting disc, it must be used in its correct holder, as specified by the bursting disc manufacturer.

The data shown on these sheets represents the standard offering from Elfab. Depending upon the requirements of your application, Elfab maybe able to provide a solution based on this product but outside the standard operating parameters. In addition, Elfab produces an extensive range of alternative products which maybe more suitable for your requirements.

As a result of extensive testing, Elfab can advise on these choices, or on other technical matters, such as discharge requirements, temperature testing, material selection and corrosion resistance, customised designs and burst detection.
