Elfab
Limited was originally named Torday and Carlisle after
the two Hungarian owners and was founded in 1936 in the
North East of England. As well as manufacturing nickel
foil, using electrical fabricating methods the company
also refurbished marine engineering equipment.
|
 |
|
| |
| In the
1970’s Torday and Carlisle bought the bursting disc
division of F A Hughes Ltd. The company was renamed Elfab
Hughes – Elfab being an abbreviation of electrofabrication. |
 |
|
| |
| In 1994
the company’s name changed to Elfab Ltd. At this
time we also acquired the Robert Jenkins graphite disk
business, which continued to trade under its original
name until 2001 when it merged publicly with Elfab Ltd. |
